“The more laws, the less justice” Marcus Tullius Cicero

We have to be careful when we say we follow the rule of law. Having laws doesn’t prevent oppression, discrimination or access to justice. The rule of law is about order, control and attempts at being reasonable in an unreasonable world.

We also have to be mindful of what laws are being written. Who do they benefit? Who has the resources around the laws?

Laws are good. But they aren’t perfect.
