We are seeing an upswing in announcements over the past couple of months since the launch of the Investment Readiness Program. It’s a great idea and below we list a couple of programs you should check out:
Community Foundations of Canada
Community Foundations of Canada was founded in 1992 to support and connect community foundations working across Canada. The “movement” of community foundations has since grown considerably. Today, more than 90% of Canadian communities have access to a community foundation. Collectively our network stewards combined assets of more than $5.8 billion and we’ve put hundreds of millions back into communities. We champion the issues that matter to Canadians.
The Investment Readiness Program (IRP) supports new and innovative ways of getting us there. It is designed to help social purpose organizations explore, grow and flourish across Canada, contributing to solving pressing social, cultural and environmental challenges. Starting January 8-February 10, 2020, organizations can apply for between $10,000-$100,000 in non-repayable capital to help launch, design, measure and scale their social enterprise and prepare to access investment in Canada’s growing social finance marketplace.
The Investment Readiness Program deadline to apply is February 10th, 2020.
CIRA
The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) is a member-based not-for-profit organization, best known for managing the .CA internet domain on behalf of all Canadians, developing and implementing policies that support Canada’s internet community and representing the .CA registry internationally.
CIRA gives back by funding innovative community projects to build a stronger, safer and more accessible internet for all Canadians.
Check out CIRA’s Community Investment Programto learn more. Their deadline to apply is February 25, 2020.
This federally funded program by the Government of Canada and managed through various community organizations, will provide Canadians the opportunity to develop localized products and services that have a direct impact in their communities.
